About Me

I’m an outdoorsy person lucky to live in California where I can cycle, run, and hike year-round.  I love to travel and have happily pedaled through several areas of Europe.

I’ve been writing and editing in the Sacramento community for over 15 years.  My experience includes:

  • five time editor for the Sacramento Poetry Center‘s journal, Tule Review.
  • co-editor at River Rock Books, publishing literature from Sacramento area writers.
  • participant in several writing groups, exchanging effective feedback with other writers.

My poetry collection, Painting Trees, published by Random Lane Press, won the Gold Medal in poetry from Northern California Publishers and Authors in its 2019 contest.

In addition, I’ve had individual poems published in numerous literary journals.

I studied English Literature at Vanderbilt University, and have a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Sacramento.
