Heartfelt Praise for Linda Jackson Collins

Linda brings the heart of a poet and a keen analytical mind to her work. She edited and provided an editorial review of my 150-page novel, a semi-historical work of literary fiction. The professional results, though painful at times, were both insightful and useful. Linda made suggestions for character development, alternative ways to express thoughts, improvements to overall organization, and modification or deletion of weak or unnecessary pieces. A welcome byproduct of Linda’s review is confidence. Linda left me with what I am certain is a far superior book. On top of all that, Linda is enjoyable and easy to work with.

I was thrilled with the service Linda provided. Not only did she do a careful reading of each poem with proposed line edits, she also provided suggestions about how to sharpen the poem’s voice. In addition to responses to individual poems, she offered her sense of each poem’s theme, and suggested groupings of poems according to theme. This was invaluable for sequencing and sectioning my collection. Linda is fun, smart, energetic, and delightful to work with. As an editor, she has a confident voice but a light touch; the poet always has the final vote. Not only was she respectful of my poetic voice, her intuitive responses to my poems gave me deeper sense of that voice as heard by an accomplished poet and editor. Linda made my collection much stronger.

Linda, just took a look and I really like everything you did. The content is compellingly presented, brief and to the point, and gives us flexibility with the web design. I’m blown away by your creative assembly.  The concept will work well!
